Lyrical Pole Dance
17th Feb - 28th March
♥ Slow flow
♥ Floor work
♥ Connecting from the body
This style is all about telling you a story. When you see a performance, you are able to feel what the dancer wants to transmit with the music and their moves on (and around) the pole. This, of course, requires a lot of creativity!
Classique Pole Dance
23rd June - 31st July
♥ Spins
♥ Multi-trick combos
♥ Floor work shapes
As you can see this style is all about creating beautiful shapes in a fluid way, whether they are in the air or on the floor. All done with a sweetly seductive gaze.
Exotic Pole Dance
31st March - 8th May
♥ Handstands/low flow
♥ Strength moves/combos
♥ Leg traces and threads
Exotic definitely has a higher focus on tricks, but a lot of focus is on the base of the pole. Its focus on impressive transitions, and refined movement quality.
Stripper Style Pole Dance
4th Aug - 11th sep
♥ Heel clacks
♥ Body rolls
♥ Touching your own body
What was most clear is that stripper style focuses less on trending tricks, and more on engagement, entertainment, and pure sexuality.
Burlesque Chair Dance
12th May - 19th June
♥ Chair poses
♥ Strip tease
♥ Floor work
Burlesque is a seductive dance style that includes suggestive dialogue and often elaborate costumes.
